Funeral services for Shirley Yeamans, sister of Dawn Hoover of Pattonsburg, were held Sunday, June 21, at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. Burial was at Packard Cemetery, Cameron. Shirley Ann (Daeffler) Yeamans, 74, Cameron, died June 17, 1999, at a North Kansas City hospital.
Mrs. Yeamans, a homemaker, was born in Red Wing, Minn. She had lived in Shawnee Mission, Kan., for 30 years before moving to Cameron 16 years ago.
She was of the Protestant faith.
In 1956, she married Dell W. Yeamans Jr. in Miami, Okla. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Yeamans was preceded in death by three sisters, Billie Taylor, Carla Rader and Patsy Nuzum.
Other survivors include four sons, Harlan Fanning, Shawnee, Kan., Darwin Layton and Rick Fanning, both of Cameron, and Dell Yeamans III, Edgerton; a daughter, Della Yeamans, Shawnee; two stepdaughters, Patricia Fugua, Leavenworth, Kan., and Carol Cox, Shawnee; one other sister, Dixie Comer, Cameron; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
