Funeral services for Robert Harlow, a native of Jameson, were held Tuesday, June 1, at D.W. Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone. Burial was at Mt. Ayr Cemetery in Altamont. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and the American Kidney Foundation.

Robert L. Harlow, 74, Kansas City, died May 27, 1999, at an Independence hospital.

Mr. Harlow was born in Jameson.

He served in the Army during World War II.

Mr. Harlow was employed with Hydro Conduit for 30 years, retiring in 1986.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one daughter.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn, of the home; two daughters, Sharon Welch and Carolyn Rector, both of Kansas City; and two sons, Robert of Kansas City and Kenneth of the home; two sisters, Jean Caray of North Carolina and Judy Harris of Independence; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
