Funeral services for M.U. “Scoot” McCrary were held May 3, at the Hamilton United Methodist Church. Arrangements were by Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Interment was at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lions Club International Foundation and be left at the funeral home.

M.U. “Scoot” McCrary, 79, Hamilton, died April 28, 1999, at Liberty Hospital.
Mr. McCrary was born in Hamilton. He lived most of his life in Caldwell County.
Mr. McCrary was an agent for MFA Shelter Insurance from 1950 to 1983.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church; charter member and past district governor of the Lions Club; American Legion Post #285; American Legion 40-8 Society; and Masonic Lodge #224 AF & AM, all of Hamilton.
Mr. McCrary married his second wife, Marguerite, in 1979. She survives of the home.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois, in 1976.
Other survivors include one son, Steve, Webb City; one daughter, Ann Anderson, Lake Viking; two stepsons, Charles Gastineau, Hamilton, and Larry Gastineau, Chillicothe; three stepdaughters, Sharon Geromini, Blue Springs, Mari Zullie, Chillicothe, and Carol Mills, Hamilton; and four grandchildren.
