Funeral services for Eva Trimble will be held at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the First Baptist Church in Jamesport with arrangements by the Bram Funeral Home, Jamesport. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery, Jamesport. Visitation is after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home. Family visitation is from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the church. Memorials may be made to the Jamesport Alumni Scholarship Fund, Tri-County R-7 High School, Jamesport, 64648.

Eva Helen (Thompson) Trimble, 88, Jamesport, died May 3, 1999, at her home.

Mrs. Trimble was born in Jamesport and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Jamesport High School and William Jewell College in Liberty. She also earned a teaching certificate from Kirksville State Teachers College.

Mrs. Trimble taught English, speech and literature for more than 33 years in the Jamesport Tri- County R-7 High School. She had also been a teacher for 11 years in three rural Daviess County schools, including Brown and Red schools.

Mrs. Trimble was a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church; Ideal Chapter No. 119, Order of the Eastern Star (now Corinthian Chapter No. 12); GFWC Fortnightly Club; WOP Club and Clover Leaf Club, all of Jamesport.

She was an honorary member of the Jamesport High School Memorial Alumni Scholarship Fund; and was active in drama as both a student and teacher, as a longtime play director. She had been a senior class faculty sponsor for more than 20 years and directed junior-senior drama festivals during that time.

In 1933, she married Ray Trimble in St. Joseph. He died in 1999.

Survivors include a son, Jim, Jamesport; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
