The Gallatin Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America was honored at the 40th annual FBLA Conference held in Columbia April 18-20. The chapter received certificates of recognition for the following programs: In Praise of Age, Reach Out and Care, and Environmental Awareness. Camp Quality, a camp for children with cancer, also presented a certificate to the chapter for their monetary contribution to the organization.

Students participating in state events included Jordan Elbert, Information Processing and Computer Applications; and the Entrepreneurship team of Allison Spidle, Shannon Batson and Kelly Waterbury. The opening general session was highlighted by guest speaker, hypnotist Ricky Kalmon whose address was “Experience the Vacation of the Mind.”

The chapter is preparing for recognition night which will be at 6:30 on May 12 at the Daviess County Library.
