Main Street Garage officially opened in Gallatin on April 19, at 101 West Van Buren, formerly the location of John’s Gas ‘n Goods.

The business, featuring state inspections, tire repair, tune-ups, brakes, oil changes, and a snack store, is owned by Tim Andrew and Garry Loucks. Shop manager is Dean Eskridge, formerly of Stan’s Tire Service. Garry and Tim previously worked together at Gallatin Auto Clinic from 1988-1991, along with running a gas station in Pattonsburg. Dean is a Certified Mechanic through GM. Tim and Garry will be doing all kinds of mechanical work, from tire repair to major car work and some body repair. The shop has all new equipment. The convenience store will have a break-time atmosphere, serving coffee, sandwiches and snacks. Eventually it will be stocked with videos for young people. Tim Andrew and his wife, Nancy, have one son, Kyle, 11. Garry and his wife, Tonda, have three children, Krystal, 17, William, 19, and Laura, 21.
