Robert L. Duncan, 43, 1605 Tower St., pleaded guilty, pursuant to a plea agreement to failing to dim his lights when within 500 feet of an oncoming vehicle and was fined $10.50 and $44.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to driving while suspended and was sentenced to serve 48 hours in the Grundy County Jail, pay $69.50 costs and $10 to the Crime Victim’s Compensation Fund. He also pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and had imposition of his sentenced suspended. He was placed on probation for two years, with the condition that he serve 48 hours shock time in the Grundy County Jail. His jail terms are to run consecutively and he is to pay $20 room and board. He is also to pay $350 to the Grundy County School Fund, $69.50 costs and $10 to the CVCF. He was given until June 8 to pay the fines and costs.

Is Held Here
A Lexington man is being held in the Grundy County Jail after failing to appear in court on two traffic offenses.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, 19-year-old Jason Schwermer was arrested by Caldwell County officials on two Grundy County warrants charging him with failing to appear in court to face charges of not maintaining financial responsibility for his vehicle and driving while revoked. He is being held on $300 cash-only bond and is to appear in court April 13.
