Funeral services for Ray Trimble were held March 21 at the First Baptist Church in Jamesport with arrangements by Bram Funeral Home, Jamesport. Burial was at the Jamesport Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Comfort Care Hospice, 314 West 4th Street, Cameron, 64429, or the Jamesport Baptist Church.

Ray Trimble, 94, Jamesport, died March 18, 1999, at his home.

Mr. Trimble was born in rural Livingston County. He was raised in Livingston and Daviess counties, east of Jamesport, and graduated from the Jamesport High School. He received an associate degree form the Kirksville State Teachers College.

Mr. Trimble taught and coached in the rural and Jamesport school systems for a number of years. He managed the Independent Mausoleum & Vault Company in Jamesport until retiring in 1975. Following his retirement, he drove the Vocational Technical School bus between Jamesport and Chillicothe, and continued farming and raising cattle.

Mr. Trimble was a member of the Jamesport First Baptist Church, where he was active in the Baptist Brotherhood and Church Council. He also served as Boy Scout leader and coached Town Team Softball. He was a former member of the Jamesport Masonic Lodge No. 564 AF & AM.

In 1933, he married Eva H. Thompson in St. Joseph. She survives of the home.

Mr. Trimble was preceded in death by four brothers, Foy, Herbert, Roger and Albert; and four sisters, Marie Plummer, Helen Cole, Grace Trimble and Dorothy Walker.

Other survivors include one son, Jim of Jamesport; five grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.
