A Jamesport man was moderately injured in an accident that happened at 1:35 p.m. on Sept. 11 in Daviess County.
According to the highway patrol, the crash occurred as Jack Prescott, 61, Jamesport, was westbound on July Avenue about a mile east of Jamesport. He was driving a 2012 Chevrolet. John Lefler, 34, Trenton, was southbound on 330th Street. He was driving a 1997 International.
Mr. Lefler’s vehicle entered the intersection and was struck by Mr. Prescott’s vehicle. Mr. Prescott’s Chevrolet came to rest off the southeast corner of the intersection, facing east. The International came to a stop on 330th south of the intersection.
Mr. Prescott was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by Daviess County Ambulance. He was wearing his seat belt.
The Chevrolet was totaled and the International had minor damage. The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.P. Lynch.
