James Myers, 31, Seymour, Iowa, was stopped by Cpl. J. Cross on April 17 for not having a front license plate displayed. The traffic stop occurred at the Winston Truck Stop.

A computer check revealed four active warrants, and he was placed under arrest at 4:18 pm. A search of Myers and the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine and paraphernalia, as well as a Hi-Point .380 pistol.
Myers has been charged with class D felony possession of controlled substance, class E felony unlawful use of a weapon, and misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia.
Myers was transported to DDCRJ on 24-hour investigative hold. Bond was later set at $35,000 cash only.

3:40 pm – Daviess County warrant was issued for Jeramy Sanders, 20, Pattonsburg, for bond violation on original charges of no valid driver’s license, possession of marijuana and other traffic violations. Sanders is in custody for DeKalb County at DDCRJ. Bond is set at $4,000.

4:50 pm – MSHP arrested Elsa Thomas, 49, Big Pine, CA, for DWI and no valid driver’s license, both misdemeanor charges. Thomas was transferred to DDCRJ on $2,500 cash bond.
