Funeral services for John Poe, a native of Jamesport, were held Monday, July 24, 2000, at the Davis Funeral Home in Tarkio. Memorials may be directed to the John Poe Memorial Fund.
John A. Poe, 73, Tarkio, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Poe, a farmer, was born in Jamesport. He moved to Tarkio in 1965.
He married Louvina Thompson in 1964. She survives of the home.
Mr. Poe was preceded in death by two brothers, Forest and Georgie Poe; and a sister, Fay Poe.
Other survivors include a son, Jimmie Poe, Lamar, Colo.; three brothers, Bob Poe, Kansas City, James Poe, Springfield, and Lawrence Poe, California; and two sisters, Martha Evans, Kansas City, and Margaret Cosley, Brighton.
