SHERIFF’S DEPT.

Administrators of Winston R-VI School reported burglary of the school on April 30. Someone took a 5-lb. bag of shredded cheese from the refrigerator in the lunch room and scattered it on the floor from the lunch room down the hall to the art room and the gym and onto the stage. The subject also put cheese in the pencil machine and smeared cheese on the door glass of a classroom and put cheese in the door lock.

Someone had also been in one of the classrooms smoking cigarettes and had changed a student’s grade and a clock in the room had been written on. A set of keys on rings, 2 CD’s and a camera were taken from the building. All items have been recovered and two juveniles have been referred to juvenile authorities.

Linda Gibson of Cameron reported she was the victim of assault at Winston by a person known to her on April 21.

A 20-year-old Kirksville man was arrested May 1 and charged with the class A misdemeanor of possession of marijuana. He posted $500 bond.

A Braden K. Polley, 21, of Gilman City, was arrested May 1 during a traffic stop on I-35 in Daviess County and was charged with the class C felony of possession of a controlled substance. He posted $25,000 bond.

Marvin Archer, 29, of Trenton, was arrested May 5 and charged with the class D felony of passing bad checks. He posted $1,500 bond.
