Seven cousins take to the skiis at Lake Viking.
This group of seven cousins, ranging in age from eight to 28, was inspired to attempt this skiing feat by viewing old home movies of their parents. These movies included clips of ski rides in which up to eight skiers were pulled at one time. The second generation of Hausman cousins successfully completed this same ski challenge one August evening at Lake Viking. Included were Brett, Tyler and Julie Hausman, children of Larry and Sherry Hausman of St. Joseph; Blake and Spencer Hausman, sons of Jim and Cindy Hausman of St. Joseph; and Shea and Kelsey Workman, daughters of Zack and Mary Workman of Cameron. All are grandchildren of Ed and Rose Mary Hausman, former Lake Viking residents. Next on their list of skiing goals is to increase the number of skiers by adding cousins Ryan, Bradley and Johnathan Hausman, and attempt to build a ski pyramid. This challenge was also inspired by old family home movies.[Submitted Photo]
