October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is planned for Saturday, Oct 23, at the AV Spillman Event Center in Jamesport.

The planned events start from 2-4 p.m. with a "Kid’s Day." Boys will verse girls in a change war rematch. There will be pumpkin painting, a hay ride, hot dogs, chips and drinks.
A chili cook-off is set for 4 p.m. It costs $10 to enter and $5 to eat and vote for your favorite.
A live auction will begin at 4:30 with Norman Ropp as auctioneer. To donate to the auction please call and leave a message for Lora McCall at 660-973-9537 or LeeAnn Ybarra at 660-684-6038. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
Ladies, be sure to come and enter the drawing for a free mammogram.
