Mae Worrell, 87, passed away Tuesday April 1, 2008 at the Lake Viking Health Care Center in Gallatin. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, April 4 at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery near Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to the: Gallatin Presbyterian Church or the Gallatin Senior Citizens Center % of the funeral home.

Mae was born August 21, 1920 to Ira and Ruby (Bauer) Dolan in Nettleton, MO. She was united in marriage to Roy Worrell December 11, 1937 in Hamilton, MO. The couple lived all of their married lives in the Gallatin area where they farmed and raised cattle, retiring and moving to town in 2006. Mae took great pride in raising her family and helping Roy on the farm. Mae was employed at the Lambert Cap Factory in Gallatin for thirteen years. She later worked as a cook for the Gallatin Livestock Auction where she was well known for her cooking ability and her homemade pies. She enjoyed the time she spent working on genealogy always eager to trace the family tree. Mae spent many hours tending her garden and canning the fruits and vegetables she had raised. She loved to do crafts and took great pride sharing them with her family and friends. Mae was a member of the Gallatin Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school for several years. Mae was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, her strength and compassion will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents, daughter and son-in ––law Martha and Joe Page, son David Worrell, brother Guy Dolan, and her great grandchild, Holly Jo Lucas.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years Roy Worrell of the home Gallatin, son Dick Worrell, Gallatin, daughter Judy Leach, Chillicothe, grandchildren, Mark, Jeff, Greg and Danny Page, Teresa Derickson, Shelly Gill, Stephen Leach and Lana Lucas, Rachel Bradford, Leslie Stanley, Dane Worrell and Robert Critten and twenty nine great grandchildren.
