A mother and daughter received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 3:05 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, in Daviess County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred as Ashley Short, 15, Lee’s Summit, was southbound on I-35. At about the 78 mile marker south of Pattonsburg, her vehicle drifted off the roadway. She over-corrected and the vehicle went off the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on its top.
Ashley and her mother, Candace Short, 34, Hamilton, were both taken by Noel T. Adams Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. They were both wearing their seat belt.
The 2004 Pontiac was totaled and towed by Bridgeman’s Tow of Altamont.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. P.M. Kimball, assisted by Tpr. A.K. Griffin, and the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department.
