WideBand Corporation will be holding its annual Shareholders’ Meeting at corporate headquarters in Gallatin, MO this Thursday, April 24, 2003, 1:30 p.m., and is inviting the community to attend.

In conjunction with its Annual Meeting, WideBand is also hosting an open house, which will begin about 2:00 p.m. and will include a tour of the WideBand factory where members of the community can watch robotic equipment building computer circuit boards. Also on display will be the famous “WideBand Gigabit Over Barbed-Wire” demonstration that the Company has taken to trade shows coast to coast and which has attracted national attention, being featured in the computer trade press’ number magazine, Information Week, and in the highly acclaimed computer networking book by Dr. Howard Johnson, High-Speed Signal Propagation.

As a special feature, WideBand has prevailed upon its President, Dr. Roger Billings, to bring to Gallatin the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell car, which he developed and unveiled in 1991. In the midst of the new focus on alternative energy, and President Bush’s recent support of the hydrogen energy alternative, the first fuel cell car is taking on a new significance and has been featured in several recent news stories and on KMBC-TV News in Kansas City. The car will be on display in front of the WideBand office during the open house.

Dr. Billings, who in energy circles has been called “Mr. Hydrogen”, has also agreed to make available to guests attending the open house copies of his book, “The Hydrogen World View” – the story of his many struggles and breakthroughs during the 25 years of his work in hydrogen energy – which he will be on hand to autograph.

One of WideBand’s newest products is a computer-based learning program – Acellus – that was designed by Dr. Billings and his team to help students who are being left behind in school. The first course to be released on the Acellus program is Fundamental Mathematics, which is being installed in schools across the country and has now just become available in disk form so families can use it at home. The Acellus Algebra I course will be ready this fall, with other courses to follow. The courses are based on the national NCTM mathematics standards and are taught by the best teachers in America. Coupled with the latest interactive computer technology, Acellus customizes itself to each individual student’s needs. WideBand is planning to have demonstrations on how the program works and to give out free copies of the first two disks during the open house.
