Funeral services for Mildred M. Hartley were held Friday at the McWilliams Family Funeral Home in Gallatin. Graveside service and burial was Friday at Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Osceola. Memorials may be made to Comfort Care Hospice or American Cancer Society.

Mildred Martha Hartley, 77, Gallatin, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at a health-care center in Hamilton.

Mrs. Hartley was born April 7, 1925, to James D. and Anna (Schnitzer) Attebery in Osceola. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1943.

On June 27, 1944, she married Billy Fulton Hartley in Fort Scott, Kan.

Mrs. Hartley was employed at the Community Blood Center for 30 years and retired in 1991, moving back to Gallatin.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star, Westport Chapter 345.

She was preceded in death by one son, Billy, in 1999, and one brother, Marion A. Attebery in 2002.

Survivors include two daughters, Sue Warnes, Gallatin; and Dee Brandt, Linn; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
