Nancy Leffel candidate for Ph.D. degree

The Board of Regents, the chancellor and president, and the faculty of Texas Woman’s University announced that Nancy Leffel Carlson is a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in special education awarded at the commencement ceremony Saturday, May 11, at 3 p.m. in Pioneer Hall TWU campus, Denton, Texas.

Nancy is the daughter of Mildred Leffel and the late Charles Leffel of Kirkland, Wash. The Leffel family are former residents of McFall, Albany and Kidder. Nancy’s grandparents were the late Charlie and Ruth Hoyt and Charley and Faye Leffel. Her aunt, Elsie Burk, and husband, the late Paul Burk, were home-away-from-home to Nancy and her sisters, Ruth, Edna and Elsie, when they all attended collages in Missouri. Nancy’s many relatives in Missouri are very proud of her accomplishments and wish her well in her career. Nancy and her husband, Nicholas, and daughter, Laura, live in Carrollton, Texas.
