A memorial service for Vera Stokesberry will be held at 1:30 p.m. on April 6 at the Gallatin Christian Church. Urn interment was at Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Gallatin Christian Church.
Vera (Whitt) Stokesberry, 87, Aurora, Ill, died Saturday, March 9, 2002.
Mrs. Stokesberry was born in Gallatin, the daughter of George and Augusta Whitt.
She married Ira Stokesberry. She and Ira resided in Gallatin a short time before moving to Illinois. Ira died in 1977.
Mrs. Stokesberry was a graduate of the Gallatin high school and a former member of the Gallatin Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Augusta Whitt; three brothers Owen, Forrest, and Jack Whitt; and two sisters Iva Worley and Georgia Houlihan.
Survivors include a son, Tom of Aurora, Ill.; one sister, Mary Kritser, Hemet, Cal.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
