ALBANY, MO — A 28-year-old man who struck a deer while riding a motorcycle last June pleaded guilty to two Class D felonies in Gentry County court on Nov. 8. Judge Roger M. Prokes accepted a leaving the scene of an accident and a driving while revoked plea from Brian E. Law. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Law hit a deer while giving an 11-year-old Darlington boy a ride on a 1985 Honda 650 Nighthawk. The boy was treated for moderate injuries at Northwest Medical Center after Law fled the scene by jumping into the bed of a pickup. The patrolmen found Law later at his father’s home. Law could face up to 4 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and a $5,000 fine on each count. His sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 6, 2012.
