CHILLICOTHE, MO — Livingston County Sheriff’s office recently received an unusual call to assist a large corporation after a rare item was found listed on an internet auction website from a location in Livingston County. That item was reported to be one of maybe four such items in the United States, used for a specific function in a nuclear plant or device. The area resident reportedly bought this item along with many other items in a salvage sale at a location in the city and has verification of that purchase, according to Sheriff Steve Cox. The corporation has no suspicions that the area resident illegally obtained the item although it is reported to still belong to the company. Discussions are underway to return the item at the corporation’s cost.
