The North Daviess Lady Knights had an impressive run through the Missouri 1A softball playoffs. After winning the distict championship with a 9-5 victory over Meadville, the Lady Knights traveled to Ridgeway to meet Newtown-Harris for the sectional title. North Daviess won 6-2 and advanced to the quarterfinals against 2-time defending state champion Jefferson. North Daviess lost, 0-6, but the confidence gained by the players will be an asset in future years.
