Graduation ceremonies for high school seniors at public schools in Daviess County span nearly the entire month of May this year, beginning next week. Winston R-6 will conduct Baccalaureate at 7 p.m. on May 4 and Commencement at 8 p.m. on May 5 for 10 graduates. Other ceremonies have been announced for North Daviess R-3 High School at 2 p.m. on May 16; Gallatin, Pattonsburg and Jamesport graduation ceremonies are on May 23.
Traditionally, the North Missourian publishes a souvenir graduation supplement after all or nearly all graduation activities are concluded. This allows for a summary of activities, achievements, awards and scholarships to accompany the photographs of graduates and salutations from sponsoring businesses without revealing honors prior to the commencement ceremonies. This year’s graduation supplement is scheduled for the May 26 edition.
A complete listing of all graduates in the county, identified with the names of their parents, usually precedes graduation ceremonies. This year, since ceremonies are staggered throughout the month of May, we will announce Winston’s list of graduates in this edition and follow with other listings in later editions.
The graduating Class of 1999 at Winston R-6 High School is as follows:
