Regional jail meeting July 27

The Daviess-Dekalb County Regional Jail Board meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 27, in the training trailer at the jail site in Pattonsburg. Old business will include a roof update and Steve Grant letter. New business items include kitchen bids. Closed session will discuss the investigation.

Jail nears court proceedings over roof work

During the Wednesday, June 30, meeting of the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail Board it was noted that SRI had about 30 days before proceeding to court regarding the roofing issue. Lawyers sent a letter after the board’s May meeting to SRI to fix the roof in 60 days or face legal proceedings.

The jail’s financial report was accepted as follows: Commissary grossed approximately $19,308.00, CD balance $827,666.30, Sales Tax balance $100,055.74,
