AYBF Fundraiser Nets $42,000

This year’s event had a great turnout.

The twenty-third annual dinner-auction and golf tournament for the Farmers’ Electric Area Youth Benefit Fund (AYBF) raised $42,000 this year. The monies raised included $5,500 from more than 1,000 Farmers’ Electric Cooperative Members who participate in Operation Round Up each month. The main auction raised $15,600. Jail Meets Aug. 28

The Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail Board will hold its meeting at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, at the training trailer at the jail at 102 North Meadows Lane in Pattonsburg. The agenda includes the financial report. Old business will cover training, records disposal, and the 2014 audit.

PSC Approves Change to KCP&L-GMO Fuel Adjustment Charge

The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a request filed by KCP&L-Greater Missouri Operations Company (GMO) to change the fuel adjustment charge (FAC) on the monthly bills of its electric customers.

Missouri Rural Development State Director Janie Dunning has announced the designation of two Stronger Economies Together (SET) regions. The regions are Green Hills Heritage Highway (Green Hills) and Southeast Missouri Multi-County EDC (SEMO). Jamesport Resident, Main Street Chillicothe Awarded

Missouri Main Street Connection Inc. (MMSC) presented downtown revitalization awards on July 30, recognizing revitalization excellence during the Annual Missouri Main Street Conference in Kansas City.

Main Street Chillicothe was recognized and received awards in three categories. Micah Landes has been serving as executive director of Main Street Chillicothe since September 2013. She came to Main Street Chillicothe after serving 1 ½ years as event coordinator for the Jamesport Community

Krumbholz to Speak at Parkinson’s Meeting

The Trenton area Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Support Group meets at 10 a.m. the first Thursday of each month at the Royal Inn, 1410 East Ninth Street in Trenton. Daviess County residents are encouraged to attend this meeting.

The Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Support Group will have as guest speaker at their Sept. 3 meeting John Krumbholz. John is co-president of the American Parkinson Disease Association, Iowa Chapter.
