Christmas Cantata in Cameron

Cameron United Methodist Church invites you to the Chancel Choir’s offering of the “The Christmas Story.” The composition by Tom Fettke and Thomas Grassi is directed by Ann Goodwin Clark, and includes familiar and not-so-familiar carols with international origins. Property Damage by Gun to Ludlow School

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department is investigating some recent property damage at Southwest Livingston School in Ludlow. Sheriff Cox said their preliminary work shows a small caliber bullet penetrated a pane of glass, then fell into the window casing before reaching the second layer of glass. New Toll for I-70?

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has asked the transportation commission to study the possibility of adding tolls to Interstate 70, and requested they present the results by the end of the month. Officials say the interstate could be widened to three lanes in each direction from St. Louis to Kansas City. Over 1,000 Shoe Boxes Make Way to Needy Children

As one of the relay stations for the Lower Midwest Region, the First Baptist Church at Pattonsburg is excited to let you know the total Christmas shoe boxes collected for the surrounding area on Nov. 24 was 1,236.

Shoe boxes packed in Missouri, Nebraska and Kansas will be processed at the Denver Center and then go on to Mexico.

One Month Left to Apply for SBA Disaster Loans

Daniel Webster, Jr., Acting Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Kansas City District Office, reminded private nonprofit (PNP) organizations of the Dec. 30, 2014, deadline to apply for an SBA federal disaster loan for property damage caused by the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding that occurred Sept. 9-10, 2014.
