Troop H Efforts During Flash Flooding in Holt County

Chautauqua’s Theme: How the West Was Fun!

The 2014 Daviess County Chautauqua will kick off on Friday, Sept. 19, with some new events and some traditional events on the schedule. A variety of vendors will be around the square throughout the weekend.

Friday’s 5:30 p.m. opening will feature a flag ceremony and VFW brick ceremony, followed by musical entertainment and a family movie on the square.

Results of Hazardous Moving Operation in Clinton County

Captain James E. Annual Fall Driving Tour at Poosey

The Missouri Department of Conservation will hold the annual fall driving tour through the Poosey Conservation Area on Sunday, Oct. 19. The Scrappy Quilters’ Quilt Guild of Trenton is seeking entries for the 2014 Missouri Day Quilt Show, which will be on display at Eastgate Shopping Center October 17-19. The theme is “Back to the 80s and Beyond.” Any quilt from the 1980s or before is acceptable, and the submitter does not have to be its maker.
