John Owen Mason 1924-2015

John Owen Mason, 90, of Lee’s Summit, died May 16, 2015. He was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Jamesport, the son of Dewey and Lola Mason.

James Franklin Hoover 1926-2015

James Franklin Hoover, 88, passed away May 8, 2015, surrounded by family at Liberty Hospital.

He was born Sept. 20, 1926, in Pattonsburg, the son of Charles and Minnie May (Taylor) Hoover.

On June 5, 1948, he married Dawn O’Day Daeffler in Kansas City, Kan. She preceded him in death on Dec. 3, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service for Cory Lewis will be held at 2 p.m on Friday, May 8, 2015, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating. Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia. Betty Pool of Westminster, Colo., passed away on March 21, 2015, at Atria Applewood Memory Care in Applewood, Colo.

Betty was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Hatfield, Mo. Betty graduated from Gallatin High School Class of 1943. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, with her vocational home economics teaching degree in 1950.
