Lyle McCrary d. March 4, 2017

A memorial service for Lyle McCrary will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Lakeland Community Church, 913 NE Colbern Road, Lee’s Summit, Mo., 64086.

Lyle Irwin McCrary, 75, Independence, died March 4, 2017, at his home.

Lyle was born in Kidder, the son of Arnold and Clara McCrary. He graduated high school at Jameson in 1960.

Lyle worked at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City for 35

Darrel R. Fanning 1937-2017

Darrel Ray Fanning, 79, of McFall,  (formerly of Gallatin) passed away March 3, 2017 at the Quail Run Health Care Center, Cameron, where he had been a resident for the past 10 years.

He was born Aug. 2, 1937 in McFall, to William Dale Fanning and Emma Fanning Richardson. He was one of twins, both of which weighed less than 2 pounds each. His twin sister, Carol Mae, passed away

Betty Rea Stubblefield 1929 – 2017   

Betty Rea Stubblefield, 87, Bethany (formerly of Pattonsburg) passed away March 5, 2017 at a Bethany nursing home.

She was born Nov. 22, 1929 in rural Daviess County, Missouri the daughter of Floyd and Jewel (Collins) Brown.

Betty loved to cook and bake and was very good at it. One of her most favorite pastimes was writing in her journal.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Rick

Melba Place 1941-2017

Service and cremation for Melba Place are pending in Phoenix, Ariz. Memorials may be made to the senior center in Gallatin in her memory.

Melba Joan Place, 76, Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Gallatin, died on March 3, 2017, in Phoenix.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1941.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Place, Phoenix; three daughters; one son; and mother-in-law Bonnie Place, Gallatin.

Carl Crone 1932 – 2017

Carl Olen Crone, 84, of Pattonsburg, passed away March 4, 2017 surrounded by his family at his home.

He was born May 20, 1932 in Altamont, the son of William “Bill” and Mildred (Bowman) Crone.  He was a Christian and a member of Oakridge Christian Church in Pattonsburg.

Carl graduated from Pattonsburg High School in May, 1951.  He entered the work force until he was drafted in November 1952.  He

David Reece Hulet 1948-2017

David Reece Hulet, 68, of McFall, passed away March 1, 2017 at King City Manor, King City, surrounded by his family.

He was born July 13, 1948 in McFall, the son of Dale and Marjorie (Carter) Hulet.

David was a 1966 graduate of Pattonsburg High School. He served his country in the National Guard up until an auto accident left him paralyzed for the next 46 years.

Lola Evans

Funeral services for Lola Evans were held Feb. 27, 2017, at Pitts Funeral Home in Breckenridge. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge.

Lola Mae Evans, 92, died Feb. 23, 2017.

Survivors include daughters, Sharon Evans, of Cameron, and Marsha Belshe (Steve), of Gallatin; brother, Larry Bassett, of Breckenridge; sister, Wanda Gilgour, of Breckenridge; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild.

Gerald York 1932-2017

A private graveside service for Gerald York will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen Cemetery or to Three Rivers Hospice, c/o Brown Funeral Home, Cameron.

Gerald W. York, 84, Cameron, died on Feb. 20, 2017.

He was born March 17, 1932, the son of Lloyd and Ruby (Stevens) York.

He attended school in Eagleville.

He served in the Air Force from 1952-1956.

Lois I. McGinnis 1930-2017

Lois Ilene McGinnis, 86, Cameron passed away on Feb. 20, 2017.

Lois was born on April 2, 1930 in Hawarden, Iowa to Lloyd and Vivian (Cooper) Millikan. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Millikan; and sister, Carol Millikan.

She was a graduate of Gallatin High School and worked over 25 years for Cameron Insurance Company, before retiring.

Lois was a member of Cameron United Methodist Church
