Roy J. Deskins d. May 26, 2015

Graveside memorial service for Roy Deskins were held Wednesday, June 3, at Edinburg I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Trenton. Arrangements were by Slater Funeral Home, Trenton.

Roy Junior Deskins, 95, Mulkeytown, Ill., and former Trenton resident died Tuesday, May 26, 2015.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Mont Deskins (Gwen), St. Joseph, Ashley Deskins (Tammy), Coffey; one step-daughter, Donna Eldridge, Conroe, Texas; two step-sons, James Sanders, Buckner, Ill., and Paul Sanders (Cynthia), Mulkeytown.

A Celebration of Life for Dennis Steigerwalt will be held from 12 noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, at 812 South Clay Street in Gallatin. Norma Stroup 1930-2015

Farewell service for Norma Stroup was held Tuesday, May 26, at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.

Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery. Flowers are appreciated and for those wishing to make a contribution, the family requests they be made to Family Worship Center.

Norma Jean Stroup, 84, St. Joseph, died May 22, 2015, at Mosaic Life Care.

She was born Nov. 26, 1930, in Winston.

Betty Taylor Rouner 1939-2015

Funeral services for Betty Rouner were held Tuesday, May 26, at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg.

Burial was at Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Pattonsburg Senior Center in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 152, Pattonsburg, Mo., 64670.

Betty Ann (Taylor) Rouner, 75, McFall, died May 23, 2015, at Crestview Home in Bethany, after a long illness.

Victor Gene Schweizer 1942-2015

Victor Gene Schweizer passed quietly from this life on May 20, 2015, in his home. The family will gather with friends for a Celebration of Life from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gallatin Food Pantry.

Keith Grinstead 1921-2015

Funeral services for Keith Grinstead were at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Blythedale. Arrangements were by Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton.

Keith D. Grinstead, 93, Gallatin, died on May 12, 2015, at Daviess County Nursing and Rehab Center. Keith had lived all over north Missouri.

Dennis L. Steigerwalt 1949-2015

Dennis L. Steigerwalt, 65, of Gallatin, passed away May 17, 2015, at his home.

Dennis was born May 29, 1949, in Jefferson, Iowa, to Victor George and Frances Virginia (Vaughn) Steigerwalt.

He graduated from Iowa State University. His passions were teaching, working in his yard, walking, canoeing and the Missouri Stream Team. He taught for over 38 years in Ventura, Iowa, and Gallatin.

Mary Charlene Hemry Potts 1922-2015

Charlene was born Feb. 3, 1922, in Gallatin to Charles Hemry and Adah E. Macy. She attended school in Gallatin and at the University of Missouri.

On a trip to visit her aunt in California, she met Dr. George E. Potts Jr. of Berkeley and they were married in 1954. They moved to Lafayette where they lived for 40 years and raised 2 sons, Charles and Robert. After George passed

John Owen Mason 1924-2015

John Owen Mason, 90, of Lee’s Summit, died May 16, 2015. He was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Jamesport, the son of Dewey and Lola Mason.

He married Helen J. Chadwick on March 25, 1950, in Kansas City, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Mason.
