County Commission

These are the unapproved minutes of Nov. 25, 2013. Randy Sims, presiding commissioner, called the meeting to order. David Cox, first district commissioner was in attendance. Carl Carder, second district commissioner, was absent. Minutes were approved.

James Lewis met with commissioners about replacing boards on bridge in Jackson Township.

County Commission

Nov. 18, 2013

Dave Allen met with commissioners concerning brush removal in Harrison and Monroe Townships.

James Lewis met with commissioners about removing a dead tree on the courthouse lawn. They are installing a culvert on 110th Street in Jefferson Township and will be placing rock due to settling.

Brush Control Case Dismissed, Brush Will Be Removed

After three hours of negotiations between parties, a scheduled bench trial on Nov. 7 did not convene. Plaintiffs Jessie D. Gonzales and Gina Gonzales dismissed the case against the Daviess County Commission without prejudice, and costs were taxed to the Gonzaleses.

County Commission

James Lewis, bridge supervisor, reported that they will be continuing to haul rip-rap on 100th Street, weather permitting. They will continue to work on repairing a bridge in Sheridan Township. The commission asked the bridge crew to remove the old bridge iron lying on the right-of-way in Harrison Township

Courthouse Provides Access to Documents

Missouri courts provide public access terminals where documents which cannot be viewed on  Missouri Casenet are made available to the public. Casenet is the website for the Missouri court system.

The Daviess County public access terminal, according to Pam Howard, Circuit Clerk, is available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday in the circuit clerk’s office on the third floor of the courthouse. The public is able to
