Koster files charges for illegal dumping in Grundy Co

Attorney General Koster files criminal charges for illegal dumping of antibiotic-contaminated feed waste in Grundy County

Attorney General Chris Koster said he has filed criminal charges in Grundy County against Rapid Removal Disposal, based in Trenton, along with its two operators, for allegedly dumping antibiotic-contaminated feed waste at illegal dump sites and falsifying invoices.

Koster filed a total of 11 felony counts against each defendant: six counts of criminal disposition

Counterfeit Bills Are in the Area

A Breckenridge man recently passed a counterfeit $100 bill at the Jamesport Grocery Store, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

Tyler Shane Parker, 23, was charged Aug. 31 in Caldwell County with misdemeanor counterfeiting and drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $7,500 bond and will be arraigned Sept. 3 before Judge Jason Kanoy in Caldwell County. Charges are also pending in Daviess County.

Daviess County Courthouse

Your Right to Know: The following is information released from the Daviess County Courthouse on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015.

County Commission

Carl Carder made a motion to purchase a 2008 Ford F350 SuperDuty for $23,400 for the road and bridge crew from Missouri State Surplus. The motion was seconded by David Cox and carried.

The road and bridge crew will be working on various projects throughout the county.

Daviess County Sheriff’s Office Incident Report

Forrest E. Zimmerman was arrested in a traffic stop for speeding on Aug. 24 on I-35 southbound by Trooper K. Cool. He has been charged with two felony counts of possession of controlled substance, misdemeanor drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and speeding. Bond is set at $35,000.
