James Anderson, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was charged Dec. 26 with fraudulently stopping payment of an instrument, class D felony.

Donnie J. Clemmons, Bethany, was charged Dec. 26 with two counts of passing bad checks, one class C felony and one class A misdemeanor.

Funding Roads: Opposition Mounts Against New Tax Ballot

The Missouri Association for Social Welfare (MASW) has filed an action in the Circuit Court of Cole County challenging the Secretary of State’s summary statement for a statewide ballot measure that could create an additional 1-cent state sales and additional 1-cent state use tax to fund transportation projects.

Among problems with the ballot language cited in MASW’s petition to the court:
