Daviess County Sheriff’s Incident Report

$300 reward offered for information about Lake Viking damage.

On June 6, numerous reports of property damage were made by residents on Lake Viking Terrace. The damage included mailboxes being run over, trash cans pushed into cars, and damage to yards.

Daviess County Sheriff’s Office Incident Report

Dennis McCrary, 58, Gilman City, has been charged with class C felony theft of credit device and misdemeanor violation of order of protection. He was arrested on June 1. On April 27, Roxanna Hughes reported the theft of her credit card to the Bethany Police Department when she learned that transactions were being made on her card in Bethany.

7:25am – Report of burglary to business in Jamesport. Intruders appeared to have entered through an unlocked window. Owners reported approximately $198 in coin and currency was all that was taken.

11:55am – Residential alarm at Lake Viking. Nothing found. Residence OK.

Four persons were arrested during a traffic stop on northbound I-35 in Daviess County on May 17 on various drug and firearm charges. Coffey woman charged with child abuse

On May 10, Donna Jolynn Sweat, 23, Coffey, was charged with two counts of abuse or neglect of a child – felony C. The probable cause report states that she physically abused her children, ages 2 and 3. Bond is set at $35,000.
