At 9 a.m., the public hearing for amended budget for 2016 was held. David Cox moved to amend the 2016 budget. Randy Sims seconded. Roll call vote: Cox – yea; Sims – yea. Motion carried.

Tax deadline approaches … pay by 30th or postmark by 31st!

Collector’s Office

Reminder: The Daviess County collector’s office will be open to receive tax payments through Friday, Dec. 30 at 4:30 p.m. If you are mailing your tax payment, it must be postmarked no later than Dec. 31, 2016, in order to avoid penalty.

Requisites for becoming a kinship provider

Generally speaking, kinship providers are persons who have a close relationship with the child or child’s family. They are frequently godparents, neighbors, teachers, family friends, or church members. Persons related to the child by blood or affinity beyond the third degree are also considered kinship providers.
