Counterfeit Bills Are in the Area

A Breckenridge man recently passed a counterfeit $100 bill at the Jamesport Grocery Store, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

Tyler Shane Parker, 23, was charged Aug. 31 in Caldwell County with misdemeanor counterfeiting and drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $7,500 bond and will be arraigned Sept. 3 before Judge Jason Kanoy in Caldwell County. Charges are also pending in Daviess County.

County Commission

The road and bridge crew will be repairing equipment. Commissioners reported that a bridge by Trager Quarry has a large cottonwood tree in close proximity to the lower part of the bridge. Crews will be clearing that out.

Daviess County Sheriff’s Office Incident Report

8-4-15

8 am – Benjamin Danz, 31, Colorado Springs, CO, was arrested when he reported for court supervision after refusing to follow supervision orders. A warrant was issued for bond revocation on original charges of felony possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute. Bond is set at $65,000.

6:27 pm – Mercer County advising that missing juvenile from their area may have been seen in Jamesport. Gave vehicle description

Charges Filed in Burglary

Charges were filed July 29 against the remaining three suspects in the burglary of Gallatin Hardwoods which was reported in last week’s edition. At press time last week, charges had only been filed against one of the four subjects.

The charges against each subject are identical — class D felony 2nd degree burglary, three counts of class C felony theft, class D felony possession of burglary tools and misdemeanor 2nd
