Coffey woman charged with child abuse

On May 10, Donna Jolynn Sweat, 23, Coffey, was charged with two counts of abuse or neglect of a child – felony C. The probable cause report states that she physically abused her children, ages 2 and 3. Bond is set at $35,000.

7:20 am – Complaint regarding dog north of Winston.

11:03 am – Andrew Collier, 41, Kansas City, was arrested by Jackson County and transferred to DDCRJ on a Daviess County warrant for FTA, no valid license. Collier posted a $750 cash bond and was released.

Daviess County Sheriff’s Office Incident Report

Jamesport man charged with first degree rape

Emmett Campbell, 45, was charged April 22 with rape/attempted rape first degree in connection with an incident which occurred Feb. 15, 2015, at his residence in Jamesport. According to the probable cause report, Campbell initiated sexual contact with a 14-year-old juvenile while she was sleeping. Bond has been set at $250,000, cash only.
