Your Right to Know: The following is information released from the Daviess County Courthouse on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014.

County Commission

October 20, 2014

The road and bridge crew continues to assess and repair county roads due to the storm rain damage. Crews will be working in Sheridan Township fixing two bridges on 290th Street, in Salem Township, in North Jackson Township and in Jamesport Township.

12:02 pm – Caller advising of a scam from phone number 407-687-4242. Caller talks about lowering mortgage rate and requests credit card information.

5:55 pm – 2-vehicle accident Highway 69.

10:33 pm – Excelsior Springs PD advised they have Kyle R. Konrardy, 31, Kansas City, on a Daviess County warrant. Konrardy was transported to DDCRJ on probation violations on original charges of damage to jail property, 2 counts felony

E-filing … It’s Coming!

Daviess County Circuit Clerk Pam Howard attended Judicial Court Clerk College from Oct. 1-3 at the Lake of the Ozarks. The purpose of the college is to educate clerks on various issues. Among topics covered at the college was e-filing and electronic courts. E-filing will be implemented in the 43rd Circuit, which includes Daviess County, in May of 2015.

With e-filing, all paperwork for every case will be scanned

DAVIESS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INCIDENT SUMMARY

On October 2, Rolla Sweiger, 30, Pattonsburg, was stopped in Pattonsburg by Cpl. J. Cross for not displaying any registration. According to the probable cause report, Sweiger performed poorly on several field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. During a search, the trooper also located three marijuana pipes.

Copies of “Judging the Judges,” a brochure provided by the Missouri Bar, is now available for voters at the office of Circuit Clerk Pam Howard.
