Jamesport Man Jailed on Drug Charges

Bond at $100,000

On April 19, Deputy Todd Watson began following a 2001 Jetta that was being driven erratically, westbound on Route F. Deputy Watson activated his lights after the vehicle turned east on Key Avenue and had the driver sit in his patrol vehicle.

While the driver, Logan Michael May, was in the deputy’s patrol vehicle, Deputy Watson observed the passenger, Jake E. Frazier, with the passenger door open

Assessor’s Office

As of April 21, there are over 680 assessment sheets which have not been returned to the assessor’s office. These sheets must be submitted before May 1 in order to avoid penalty.

Representatives from the assessor’s office are reviewing properties in Benton Township.

This week, James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, and his crew will be driving piling on 242nd Street after clean-up and fixing a bridge on 292nd Street in Jamesport Township.

4-7-15

2:43 pm – Abandoned vehicle removed from property in Jamesport.

7:26 pm – Report of suspicious vehicle parked in driveway of residence east of Gallatin.

4-8-15

1:26 pm – Intruder in home of resident in Altamont. Subject left in blue Ford F150 eastbound on Highway 6. Law enforcement officers canvassed area and did not locate suspect. Daviess County Sheriff’s Office (SO) would like to remind all residents of Daviess

Daviess County Sheriff’s Office Incident Report

3-31-15

Kevin Qualls, 27, Kansas City, was arrested in a traffic stop on northbound I-35 at 12 a.m. by Trooper K. Cool.  Qualls was on probation for felony possession of a controlled substance. Two handguns were found in the center console of the vehicle. He was transferred to DDCRJ, and a warrant was issued with charges of two counts of class D felony unlawful use of weapon, misdemeanor endangering welfare

Driver Exam Station Relocated

On April 7, the Gallatin Driver Examination Station normally located in the Daviess County Courthouse, 102 North Main Street, Gallatin, will be relocated to the Daviess County Library, 306 West Grand, Gallatin. The change is due to elections being held in the courthouse. Normal testing hours will resume at there on April 14.
