James Lewis, Road & Bridge Supervisor, and crew continue working on the bridge on 292nd Street this week.

The Board of Equalization meeting is rescheduled from July 13 to July 20 at 8:30 a.m.

Coroner David McWilliams discussed indigent funding from the coroner’s budget.

Commissioners signed temporary construction easement and permanent easements for Bridge Project BRO-B031(36) Bridge No. 43100222, agreement with Harrington Family LLC.

James Lewis, road and bridge supervisor, and his crew are placing guardrail on the bridge on 292nd Street this week.

Ron Urton, Howe & Company, discussed easements and right-of-ways for bridges in the county. Commissioners signed an agreement with Harrington Family LLC for the donation of permanent and temporary easements for the BRO-B031(36), Bridge No. 43100222.

Absentee voting available now for August primary

County Clerk

Absentee ballot voting for Daviess County voters is open from now until 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1 at the county clerk’s office, which is located on the second floor of the Daviess County courthouse. The Primary election is on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

Absentee voting will also be possible through the county clerk’s office on Saturday, July 30, from 8 a.m.

Forum features only local Primary race

A political forum hosted by Daviess County Farm Bureau helps focus on one sure bet concerning the upcoming Primary Election: The Republican candidate who wins on Aug. 2 will be unopposed to become Associate County Commissioner for District 1.

Insurance coverage increases with new 911 system

The new 911 system serving Daviess County was installed during the week of April 25 and is fully functioning.
