Gallatin’s marching band placed first in its class while Pattonsburg placed second among 11 entries in their class during the 2003 Missouri Western State College Homecoming Parade.

Senior Sheila Smith’s 8th inning double drove home the winning runs as Gallatin clipped Worth County, 7-5, in the closing game of the Grand River Conference softball season.

Tyler Nichols, Duke Burge, Kyle Hefley, Pat Dickinson, Drayson Leeper and Nic Burrell all scored for Gallatin in a 47-0 romp over the wounded and struggling Albany Warriors.

An Unending Story of Family and Faith

GHS Class of 1983 Holds 30 Year Reunion

The GHS Class of 1983 held its 30 year reunion at Cycles in Gallatin on Saturday, Aug. 31. Classmates Jay Daniels, Steve Lukehart, Gayla (Rhoades) Teel Whitt, and also spouses, parents and children, were remembered in memoriam. Cards were sent to classmates who need prayers. Another Round of ROMEO Riders

A group of motorcycle enthusiasts from the ROMEO club were in Gallatin on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The motorcyclists had lunch at Corner Café for the second year in a row and the second time this year (they were here in May) because they liked it so much the first time. ROMEO stands for Retired Old Motorcyclists Eating Out. ROMEO has no dues, no officers, no rules and no regulations.

Wests Celebrate 60th Anniversary

 

C.R. and Anita West of Trenton will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 11, 2013. The couple was married on Oct. 11, 1953, at the First Baptist Church in Pattonsburg. They are the parents of three children, Larry West (Agnes) of Kansas City, Garry West (Vicky) and Theresa West, both of Trenton. They also have seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Stitt Reunion

The Stitt family reunion was on Sunday, Sept. 15, at McCorkle’s Eatery & Pub in Cameron. It had been several years since the family had a reunion and organizers were pleased that so many of the family members joined them. There were 66 who signed in, plus several children. Debbie Stitt Latimer opened her place of business and provided most of the food.
