McFall All-School Reunion Planned

The annual reunion of teachers, graduates and students who attended the McFall School at anytime will be held at the Pattonsburg Multi-Purpose Center on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014. Smith-Adams Engagement Announced


Jerry Smith of Camdenton announces the engagement of his daughter Mikayla Smith to Ben Adams of Gallatin. Ben is the son of Tom and Mary Adams of Gallatin. Ben is a 2009 graduate of Gallatin High School and a 2014 graduate of Missouri State University. He is currently enrolled at the Blue River Fire Academy and will graduate in December. Mikayla is a 2011 graduate of Camdenton High School.

The winners of the Super Team Contest were announced at the 2004 Missouri State Fair. Placing first was the team of John Runde, Gilman City; Katie Jarboe, Gallatin, Hattie Rains, Gallatin; and Heath Oram, Gilman City. This was the second year in a row the team placed first.

Corporal Scott A. Shipers has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant and designated Zone Commander of Zone 7

Laura Youtsey of Gallatin won second place in the ladies lead line in the senior division of the North Central Missouri Fair Sheep Show. JoAnn Tummons of Gallatin received the senior showmanship award.

Cindy Mason, who joined the postal service as a part-time flexible clerk in 1988, was appointed postmaster of Pattonsburg, effective July 10. Cindy succeeds Virginia Thompson, who retired Sept. 9, 2003.

Wynne Reunion

The annual Wynne reunion was held on Aug. 3, 2014, at Dockery Park in Gallatin. There were 60 in attendance this year.

Michael Reunion

The 50th annual Michael Reunion took place Aug. 2, at the farm home of David and Kayla Michael, Gallatin. Dinner was served at noon after Ted Michael, Hannibal, lead in prayer.

It was a smaller group of Michaels this year, but all had a good time catching up with everyone.

Mark McNeely of Jameson was recently presented the Missouri Conservation award by Alan Bradford of the Missouri Department of Conservation. The program is sponsored by the MDC and allows citizens of all ages to learn about Missouri’s natural resources and how to enjoy and protect them by completing different activities as outlined by the program guide.
