ROCK PORT, MO — Rock Port Chief of Police Shannon Sherwood has returned from Alexandria, VA, where he joined 29 other police chiefs, sheriffs and 911 managers invited to the 137th session of the Chief Executive Officer Training Seminar. This training focuses on Missing and Exploited Children, specifically on how to deal with the situation of a child who’s been reported missing and sexually exploited when time is crucial. The seminar was created in 1997, funded by the U.S. Department of Juvenile Justice Delinquency. During this time more than 5,000 participants have received this training.
