 Hancock ties GHS pole vault mark of 14-feet

High school track season is well underway and some GHS athletes are just now hitting their stride. Two GHS boys excelled last Friday in their specialty events at the Smithville Invitational.

Senior Tate Hancock, who transferred to Gallatin R-5 last fall from Texas, tied a four-year-old field event mark last Friday. Hancock cleared the bar at 14-feet in the pole vault to tie the Bulldog record set by Chad Ness
