Hubert Tate Describes Beaches of Normandy on D-Day

Unlike anything imagined

Americans recently remembered the 70th anniversary of D-Day. On June 6, 1944, the largest seaborne invasion in history took place during the Normandy landings of World War II. Termed D-Day, the Allied invasion of Normandy began the invasion of German-occupied western Europe, led to the restoration of the French Republic, and contributed to an Allied victory in the war.
