Jail Makes Money… Almost

Jimmie McKinney from Cameron Accounting noted that for the first time since his company has been keeping track, the Daviess-DeKalb Regional jail turned a “profit” of $61,000. However, this included money from the sales tax as general revenue. Without the sales tax a loss would be projected of approximately $54,000. Cameron Accounting is contracted by the jail for accounting analysis of each quarter.
