AARC Meal Champion

 

 

Gallatin First Baptist Church was Meal Champion at the Active Aging Resource Center on Tuesday, Oct. 24. A Meal Champion sponsors a day’s food cost for both the congregate and home delivered meal programs at the senior center. NWMSU Students Qualify for Degrees

The Office of the Registrar and the Graduate School at Northwest Missouri State University have released the names of students who completed requirements for degrees at the conclusion of the 2013 summer trimester. Chase Allen Hogan b. September 17, 2013

Chase Allen Hogan was born to Steven and Katie Hogan of Gallatin on Sept. 17, 2013, weighing 8 pounds, 2 ounces. He was 19-1/2 inches long. Chase was welcomed by his brothers and sisters, Taylor, Shaunessey, Kaydence, Draven, and Clayton.

Maternal grandparents are Russell and Debbie Heldenbrand of Gallatin. Paternal grandparents are Jake and Donna Hogan of Gallatin. Maternal great-grandmothers are Joanna Burchett and Darlene King.

E. Ruth Sweeny 1936-2013

Graveside service for E. Ruth Sweeny were held Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Graceland Memorial Cemetery, Cameron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home for expenses. Arrangements were by Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron.

E. Ruth Sweeney, 77, Maysville, died on Sept. 26, 2013.

Ruth was born on July 22, 1936, in Kidder to Walter L. and Millie (Wiss) Evans.

McCaskill Staff to Hold ‘Kitchen Table Talks’

As members of U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill’s staff travel throughout the state to hear directly from Missourians, representatives will be in Daviess County to talk with local residents about opportunities and challenges they face every day.

McCaskill’s staff will host “Kitchen Table Talks” from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Daviess County Library on West Grand in Gallatin.
