Letter to the Editor: Spectator Sports

Dear Editor:

Over thousands of years tribal man’s brain has survived by nutrition, reproduction, healing customs, child care and sharing practices. We need resources, shelter, water and food. Helpful are tools, skills, fire and food preservation. The greatest help for our brains was the development of words (linguistics.) Even though words are only an abstraction of reality, most brains function on picture words, symbols and phonetic words.
