I know people who live down in that part of Missouri and they say this is not true, that they have never seen these horses.

The only verified dumping of horses has been from the kill buyers coming back into the United States. They have dumped the horses that the slaughter plants reject at the U.S. Mexico border. Get used to this if RNM opens.

The horse owners in the area deserve a chance to not have to deal with this nightmare. It will put all of our horses at risk for theft and disease. Horses being shipped for slaughter are not required to have health certificates.

It will cost $400,000.00 per plant, per year, for the USDA to inspect, which is ridiculous, since horses are classified by the FDA as non-food companion animals.

We deserve a chance to have the inspectors do a better job with actual livestock that the American public eats. We do not eat horses in the U.S.
