Southwest Baptist University has released the Spring 2013 honor roll list, which includes Scott Conover, Maryville, formerly of Pattonsburg. Scott made the President’s List with a 3.70-3.84 grade point average.

The accident happened Tuesday, May 28, at around 1 p.m. The driver was not injured. The accident was investigated by Sgt. Ott of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Due to funding cuts by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Green Hills Community Action Agency’s Adult Education and Literacy classes will no longer be available to area residents seeking to obtain their GED. On May 23, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department received a Livingston County arrest warrant for Jeremy R. Brannon, 29, Jamesport, for allegedly misrepresenting himself as a deputy sheriff, and saying he needed a Chillicothe resident to assist him in an investigation. Mr. Brannon allegedly persuaded the victim into giving him at least $1,400 dollars, which he did not intend to return.

The Y.E.S. (You Enjoy Sharing) Club hosted a 50th anniversary celebration on May 20 at the home of Pam McNeel. Four charter members, Charlotte Critten, Hazel Woody, RoDonna Collier and Ann Schweizer, have maintained membership since the club’s inception in November, 1962. Patty Elbert was also honored for her 50 years, beginning in July, 1963.
