City May Raise Rates to Pay for Electricity

City Administrator Zac Johnson discussed possible utility rate increases with the Gallatin Board of Aldermen during their meeting held Monday, May 27. Mr. Johnson said the city is looking at all utilities, water, sewer, and electric after receiving projections from MoPEP for wholesale electricity for the remainder of the year. MoPEP — Missouri Public Energy Pool — supplies 35 cities with their full requirement’s electric supply.
