Candidate’s Sign Violated Statute

Kevin Heldenbrand, an unsuccessful candidate for Daviess County sheriff in the November 2012 election, has admitted that a sign which he posted during the campaign violated Missouri statute 130.031.8 RSMo.

The sign did not have the required “paid for by” identification. The sign should have stated “Paid for by Kevin Heldenbrand,” but instead it read “Paid for by Candidate.”
