Bulldogs Upset Top-Seeded Spartans in Overtime

Daniel earns MVP award

Gallatin’s boys jumped on the back of senior Dexter Daniel in overtime and rode to a 78-75 upset victory over top-seeded Richmond in Saturday night’s championship game of the Hamilton Tournament.

Daniel scored a career-high 34 points, including seven in OT, but it was perhaps his defensive skills that tipped the scales toward a GHS victory as time wound down in both regulation and overtime.

Gallatin’s Tristyn Siegel passes over the top of Richmond’s defense during second half action of Saturday’s consolation final of the Hamilton Tournament.
