Sheriff’s Office

Donald Davidson, 51, Sedgewick, Kan., was arrested Nov. 24 for misdemeanor DWI, prior offender, and failure to yield to emergency vehicles. He posted $1,000 bond.

Richard Boose, 29, Gallatin, was arrested Nov. 25 for misdemeanor harassment. He is being held on $150 bond.

Several Routes in Daviess County to Close This Week

Area maintenance crews will close several routes in Daviess County for culvert replacements this week, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.

Route CC – CLOSED Tuesday, Nov. 27 from Route HH to one mile north of Route HH, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route J – CLOSED Tuesday, Nov. 27 from Route D to three miles north of Kidder, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Health Department holds stroke screening

Harvest up for state, down for county

Hunters shot 204,668 deer during the November portion of Missouri’s firearms deer season, topping the past four years’ harvests and confirming predictions by the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC).

This year’s statewide November deer harvest is 7.7% more than last year and only 1.3% below the previous 10-year average.

Top harvest counties during the season Nov. 10 through 20 were Howell with 4,037, followed by Texas with 3,916 and Benton
