Sheriff: Speed guns granted to improve road safety The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department was awarded two speed guns valued at $4,343 by the Northwest Region Coalition for Roadway Safety. Daviess County was one of nine grants approved for funding this year. The grants totaled more than $50,000 for the Northwest 20-county area.
“Our goal as a safety coalition is to partner together to keep people safe on our roads,” says Jackie Spainhower, director of the coalition’s northwest region.
