The telephone and internet outage that occurred Monday, June 19, resulted from a cut fiber, according to Scott Morrison, staff manager of corporate communications for Windstream.
Morrison said the fiber was cut by the highway department as MoDOT crews were working on Hwy. 85, about five miles south of Albany.
The outage was from about 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. when service was restored. The outage affected some 5,000 customers
