Howard Gordon 1925-2012

A Celebration of Life for Howard Gordon will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe. Friends will be invited to share personal memories of Howard. Graveside services and burial for Georgianna Miller will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Savage Cemetery, Pattonsburg. Twyla Breer 1957-2012

Family and friends will have a Celebration of Life visitation for Twyla Breer from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Jamesport.

Twyla M. Breer, 54, Jamesport, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2012, as the result of a car accident.

James Miller 1933-2012

Inurnment for James Miller will be held at a later date at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, Higginsville. Mr. Miller has been cremated under the direction of Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron.

James Ward Miller, 78, Coffey, died Jan. 21, 2012.

James was born on June 7, 1933, in Hamilton to Frank and Effie (Streeter) Miller.

Charles Mercer 1951-2012

A private family service for Charles Mercer will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated.

Charles Mercer, 61, McFall, died Jan. 17, 2012, at his home.

Charles, the son of Charles and Catherine (Kelewets) Mercer, was born Oct. 31, 1950, in Chicago, Ill.

Weekend Wizard – Week 2

Whew! You can’t score much better than Ed Weissenbach during Week 2 of the Weekend Wizard Basketball Contest. The former GHS coach was perfect, picking all 10 winners on the Week 2 slate and nearly nailed the combined MU-Texas score – missing the 157 total by just two!
