Morning coffee meetings to discuss yellow corn

Growers are invited to attend several morning coffee meetings to discuss the reasons why corn fields were yellow this past year.

The results of sampling of good and bad field areas has provided information on the cause and suggestions will be made on how to correct these situations for the next growing season.

Dance recital Dec. 4

Rockin’ Christmas Charity Dance Recital by the Dance Company will hold a charity dance reciatl on Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Searcy Elementary Gymn in Gallatin.

Grand River choir performs Dec. 10

The Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra will perform selections from "Messiah" and two John Rutter pieces Saturday, Dec. 10, at 3 p.m.

Access II & FFA hosts “Winter Things for Teens” Christmas project

Access II Independent Living Center and the Gallatin High School FFA students have partnered together to provide "Winter Things for Teens" Christmas project.

Items of need are new coats (assorted sizes: keep in mind these are for teens), gloves, cool winter hats and scarves. These items can be dropped off at Access II office or Gallatin High School ag department anytime before Tuesday, Dec. 20.

Handicapped parking changes in city of Gallatin

The city of Gallatin has made some changes in its parking spaces and signs recently that may be a little confusing to visitors until the transition is complete.

The changes occurred in order to comply with legislation signed last summer by Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon as well as new city ordinances.
