Reunions – Curliss

A celebration of life luncheon for Brenda Fetters Curliss was held Saturday, Oct. 22, at Seasons in Gallatin.

Brenda passed away July 8, 2011 in Greenfield. The body was cremated with the ashes being spread over the grave of her father, Everett Fetters, in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

Family members in attendance were Charles Fetters and Eric Shockley, Richmond, Calif.; Nita Fetters Miller, Humble, Texas; Mark Fetters and Joe Martin, St.

OATS board raffles quilt

Members of the OATS board will be selling chances for a friendship quilt around Gallatin over the next few days.

Friday Bonnie Walker took Julia Cornett and Betty Daniel to the home of Judy Peters at Maysville. They attended a large gathering of family members to help Kathleen Scott celebrate her birthday. Kathleen is in the area visiting from Spokane, Wash.

Bridge north of Coffey closing

The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced that MO 13 in Daviess County is scheduled to close on Monday, Oct. 31.

MO 13 will close at the bridge over Little Cypress Creek located approximately one mile north of Coffey. The road will be closed at this location for six to eight weeks for a bridge replacement project.

This bridge is being replaced under the Missouri Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement

Daviess County Courthouse News – 10–26-11

James Lewis, bridge supervisor, reported on repairs being made in Sheridan Township. Also, the contractor may be at the Jefferson Township bridge site on 105th Street this week to bore the sockets for the piling.

Pauline Froman trial set for Nov. 28

The motion for continuance in the federal case against Pauline Froman in the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri has been granted and the trial set for Nov. 28, 2011.
